Mike + Tara Are Getting Married

Tara’s Story

I met Mike while vacationing in San Diego on Spring Break. Mike was the roommate of a friend who I was staying with for the weekend. I walked into his bedroom to borrow a sweatshirt and Mike was sitting on the edge of his bed strumming his guitar a song by Rob Thomas. I could hardly see his eyes under his long, blonde hair. He smiled up at me, walked me over to his closet where he said I could have my pick of his sweaters. I can't remember exactly what I was saying to him, but before I knew it, he leaned in and PLANTED a kiss right on my mouth! I was completely taken aback, and blushed. I continued on with my conversation because I didn't know what else to do. This skater/ West Chester guy was something that I never ever thought would turn into something... but God proved me wrong. Mike turned out to be the sweetest, kindest, most interesting man I'd ever met! Mike has many layers: he works with kids, loves playing guitar and keyboard, loves animals and best of all, he loves me! Mike has no ego and a heart of gold. I convinced Mike to move with me back to my hometown Capitola, where my friends and family instantly fell in love with him. Two and a half years later, Mike and I decided to tie the knot and he proposed in Philadelphia at the Art Museum steps the day before Thanksgiving. I've never felt so complete in life and my heart is full.

Mike’s Story

I was playing my guitar in my room, I remember it was Rob Thomas, when my roommate walked in with this beautiful blonde hair, blue eyed, model of a woman. I could not take my eyes off her. I remember her looking around my room as if she was looking for something and sure enough the first thing she asked me was, "if I had a sweatshirt." Immediately I thought I was going to have one less sweatshirt, but I was okay with it because it gave me an excuse to talk to her after her visit. She started to tell me why she was visiting, I do not remember a thing she said because I could not stop staring at her.  That is when I did something that was better than words, and kissed her! You all know the rest.
